About Shutter Force
My name is Simon Kennedy, and I own and operate Shutter Force together with my wife, Steph.
We operate our business from our home in Southampton, and also cater to the people of Portsmouth, Winchester and all surrounding areas. Being the strong Husband and Wife team that we are, we work particularly well together!
My background has mainly been in window manufacturing and installation and shutter installation in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom over the last thirty years.
Steph’s background has been in financial management and accounting, so she is the perfect person to support me in my role by keeping all the quoting, invoicing, and financial matters in order.

The Open and Shut Process
DESIGN AND SURVEY VISIT
As part of our window shutter services, we will come and visit you at your home and go through all your shutter style options that best suit your needs.
A measure of your window openings will take place at this time so we can then provide you with a quotation and diagrams of what your made to measure shutters would look like. This will be sent to you via e-mail.
We like to give you time to go over the quotation and designs at your leisure to make an informed decision.
If you choose to go ahead with ordering your made to measure plantation shutters with Shutter Force, we will then come back to take an exact measurement of your window openings and confirm the design details with you.
MANUFACTURE
Your plantation shutters are made to measure from our design drawings provided to our manufacturer. Our manufacturer typically notifies us ten days prior to delivery to us.
Delivery then takes approximately ten to twelve weeks from the deposit being paid for our hardwood products.
If you choose our uPVC product that is extruded and manufactured in the United Kingdom at no additional cost, then this takes approximately two to four weeks to be delivered to us. Imagine the possibilities with our Urban Shutter Range with a whopping 10 year guarantee!
INSTALLATION
The installation of your new made to measure shutters will be stress free and we can work in with you to install them on a day that will suit you.
We will install your brand new plantation or uPVC shutters with pride, shown in excellent workmanship, and attention to detail in the finishing.
We also take time to clean up after ourselves!
If you need help with removing old blinds and curtains prior to installation, we are happy to provide this service at no additional cost.
